Pelorian Designed Website Example

A Full Circle Adoptions

This website design is no longer live online.
In transitioning away from website design, we helped this client connect to a new webmaster. Pelorian Digital is still doing graphic design work for Full Circle Adoptions.

Client’s Request:

We first designed a website for A Full Circle Adoptions many years ago. In updating their site, they wanted a WordPress website so the office staff could easily change information. The new website needed to include:

  • an introduction to the agency
  • extensive information for prospective adoptive parents
  • extensive information for birthparents
  • a listing of prospective adoptive parents ready to adopt
  • online forms for beginning the adoption process
  • a blog for articles written by the agency
  • an agency meet the team page
  • an online newsletter with a website sign-up form
  • multiple slide shows
Designer’s Comments:

This current version of the Full Circle Adoptions website is a new WordPress site – easy for the staff to edit. It is also especially easy for visitors to access. The agency had noticed that a large number of their prospective clients use cell phones to look at the website. This new website was created to be fully responsive, so it looks and functions well on both computer screens and mobile devices. In addition to a blog, which “introduces” new articles regularly, this website also needed a way to introduce new prospective adoptive parents. I decided to make a list of parents by using the WordPress blog roll technology, but dividing the blog roll into two parts, so essentially, the site has two blogs – one for articles and one for parents. Blogs make creating and editing articles easy, and so the process of adding new prospective adoptive parents to the website has been greatly improved. To set up a Newsletter, we created a MailChimp account for the agency, designed an email template, and trained the staff in how to send MailChimp newsletters.

Technology Used:

Computer applications and web technology used in building this website

  • Adobe Photoshop for creating graphics
  • Adobe Dreamweaver for editing and transferring various website files
  • WordPress CMS with custom theme design
  • Responsive Design (automatically changes design for mobile devices)
  • Various WordPress plugins and Widgets
  • MailChimp newsletter integration
  • A variety of SEO techniques

While I really liked the old website, I like this even more.  It’s clean, efficient, professional & I love the stuff (don’t know what it’s called) that moves across the screen & captures your attention.  NICE!
