Pelorian Digital was officially created in 1996 by Richard Rasa (known as either Rick Rasa or just Rasa, usually depending on how and when you met the guy). Pelorian Digital began in 1993 when Rick Rasa’s friend Mark opened a small computer store to sell the new Apple Macintosh computer. Rick was the only person Mark knew who could use a Macintosh, and so he asked Rick to help his new customers with this new technology, and with that consulting practice, Pelorian Digital began. Rasa first built a website in 1996 for abstract artist Marlis Jermutus, an early attempt to create an online art portfolio using a now archaic frame structure that was modern at the time. Much has changed since then! As a designer, musician and writer, Rasa worked and played with these arts as they became incorporated into the Information Age and digital technology. As a result, Pelorian Digital now offers consulting and production for Web and Print Design, Print and Digital Publishing, and Music and Video Editing and Production.
